Há o código esportivo da confederação brasileira de paraquedismo (CBPQ), que regulamenta a atividade no brasil e evita pequenos deslizes. O EQUIPEMENTO DE ALUNO É COMPOSTO POR: • Dois paraquedas projetados para abrir, dirigir e freiar (principal e reserva). O paraquedas reserva é dobrado a cada 6 meses, por um dobrador especializado e autorizado pela confederação mesmo que não seja utilizado. • DAA - dispositivo de abertura automática (caso o paraquedas principal não abra e o aluno nao consiga liberar o reserva o dispositivo abre o paraquedas reserva sozinho a uma determinada altura, para que o aluno chegue em segurança no solo. Este dispositivo é aconselhado para os atletas, porém não é obrigatório) • Stevens que é um dispositivo de segurança que dispara o reserva automaticamente caso o principal seja desconectado pelo aluno. • O paraquedas é dobrado a meio freio, caso o aluno não freie ainda sim chegará em segurança no solo. Além disso, o aluno salta com altímetro e é instruído através de um rádio durante todo o salto, por um instrutor em solo, o que garante uma navegação tranqüila e um pouso seguro.
